We took a lesson out last week to take pictures and create different videos to show some ideas that we have for our promo.

Main Idea For Promo

• The screenshot above are the basic ideas that we have for the music video. This shot below are ideas for the middle section when I (the actor in the video) and the performers (Tabitha and Ronnie) meet and be together.

Technology

Above is a prezi that Ronnie made to show the techonolgy that we are going to use for our music promo.

Locations

The picture on the right is showing another idea for the field that we are going to use the our promo.
When I see the picture, it gives me the sense of freedom and in a way realisation. There is nothing there apart from grass,trees, sunlight and









 
 This is an example of the field that we are going to use in our music video.
The field is going to appear when the girl in the video goes onto a wardrobe/door and is s where is ends up on the other side.
We picked this kind of environment because its light, airy and gives the sense of freedom.

The pictures above are examples of what we are going to do in our music video. The stills are there to suggest that people do argue and do fight within relationships and I also wanted to show the transition between love and hate in a relationship.

These photos above (12) are another trail for the photos. Obviously in the actual video, there will be a lot more photos with more detail. The photos are just evidence that we have trailed stills for our video.

 

THE END

 

These two picture are going to be the ending shots for our music video. We have chosen black and white instead of colour because we feel that it is going to be more effective for the audience and lets us show more emotion throughout the video. Also, the black and white effect could suggest that she is living in a plain, dull life which she want to escape from, which she does but then she could feel empty and alone because no one is there for her at the end of the song.

 

Costumes, Make - Up and Prop ideas

Performers

 

 

The two t-shirts above is going to appear when the titles or credits come up.

They will be a plain black with turquoise and pink spray paint across the front with 'Sound of the Sirens'.  

 

 

Ideas for costume for Ronnie and Tabitha when we perform in our video. We have chosen these two different type of rocky and girly clothing because we wanted to show that you 'shouldn't judge a book by its cover' Although it's folk, soul based music, wearing different genre of music clothing:country and rock shows people its good to be different and mix/spice things up.

This guitar is an example of the instrument that we will be using in the music promo for Sound of the Sirens.  

 

This picture above is an idea that we all had for both performers. Its natural but with the black and blue eyeliners to gives the look that extra edge.

 

 

 

All of the pictures above and to the side are just some general ideas that I have. The ideas are all about the genre of folk music. The song that we are going to create a music video for, 'The Night Before' is the genre of folk and soul.
They use acoustic guitars and
other instruments like
                                                      Cavaquinho and Accordion.

The dress sense that the performers usually relates to the genre of music that they are going to perform. But in own case, we want to be different. We want to show people it good to be different

and tell the audience to  not judge a book by it's cover.

We have chosen the easy, realistic costumes to portray real life in the video.
The picture below is showing a summer blouse from the retail ship, Topshop. The blouse it light, airy and it will fit me just right.
The outfit is only going to be worn only before she go through the door/ wardrobe.
                         

The outfit above is for Chris and even though the picture is of the Internet, the picture is perfect because it shows masculinity, strengths as well as a great fit. This outfit is going to be worn when he gets introduce in the video and throughout when he is in the shot.

An alternative opinion would be this knitted jumper/dress from RI. Since the weather is a lot more colder than say in the summer months, the knitted opinion could be better and seem more realistic.

This coral blazer is light, fresh and breezy and will go with the colours in the blouse above.

Presentation went well. We all fully explained all three ideas that we have for our music promo. The slides above are the ones we used in the presentation. We thought clearly about what we put on because we didn't want to give to much away too soon its we felt it was a spoiler alert.
