Closed questions have the following characteristics:

  • They are easy to answer.
  • They are quick to answer.
  • They keep control of the conversation with the questioner.

Open questions :

'An open question is likely to receive a long answer.'

  • They will give you opinions and feelings.

Our target audience is going to be the ages between 15 and 20+. We have decided to do this because folk music is listened to all ages, older and younger people not just teenagers. For the questionnaire we have asked a range of ages such as 15 and early 40s. I wanted a varity of ages to answer the questions.
